By placing an order with Coventry Critters you agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions detailed below.  The purchase of any goods from this web site is governed by English Law.  By accepting these Terms & Conditions you are submitting the contract to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions does not affect your statutory rights.

The placing of an order with Coventry critters is an offer to purchase a product (or products) which is only accepted by us when we confirm by email our intention to supply your order.  We reserve the right not to accept orders.  This may be due to the product ordered not being in stock, or our identifying a pricing or product description error.

Returns and Refund Policy

Coventry critters complies with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

We trust you will be completely satisfied with the quality of the goods and service you receive from Coventry critters.  However we, and reputedly our couriers, are only human and mistakes can happen.  If they do then we will want to rectify the situation as quickly and as fairly as possible.  It will help us greatly if you could follow the guidance below.

We will refund any product bought at www.coventrycritters.co.uk up to 7 working days after the order was placed.

If returning a product, please follow the procedures listed below.

3.) Once your parcel arrives it will be inspected for damage and then we will refund or replace the product

The customer is responsible for the postage charges on returns items (we suggest the sender uses recorded delivery for safety as this is a tracked service).

Cold Weather

During cold periods we reserve the right to delay shipping of live goods for the safety of all livestock

Postage

we will only send to Livestock to Mainland Great Britain all charges are in our postage section on the website. We may consider sending dry goods outside of the uk please email us for a quote.

Postage cost vary between £2.65 to £14.95

Dry goods start from £2.65 to £9.95

Livestock prices from £6.95 to £14.95 orders over £120 included free shipping

If you want a rough idea of what your shipping costs would be the best thing to do is add items to the shopping cart then click submit and it will calculate postage costs before you need to pay that way you will be able to see what postage values work out.

Dry goods

Dry goods may be returned to Coventry critters within 14 days of receipt at your expense, provided the goods are un-used, in the original packaging, and in a re-saleable condition.  Most consumables are supplied in tamper-evident containers and we cannot accept the return of goods if this packaging has been opened.  Upon return we will inspect and confirm the goods condition and where acceptable will issue a refund for their order value less a restocking fee of 10%.

Any deliveries via standard Royal Mail postal service cannot be tracked and compensation cannot be claimed for non-delivery until a 15 day time period has elapsed as specified by Royal Mail's policy.

In the unlikely event that dry goods arrive damaged, or are found faulty, then you should retain the product and email us within 7 days of receipt, whereupon we will work with you to arrange for the return of the goods at our expense and for a replacement or refund.

Livestock

We cannot accept the return of any livestock or issue refunds or replacements for livestock except in the following circumstances:

• If the outer packaging shows signs of damage, or the goods arrive a day late, please note this in your comments when you sign for the goods i.e. time of arrival. Failure to do so will invalidate the insurance for your delivery and our "Live arrival” guarantee.

• If when you open the packaging the livestock is found to be dead on arrival (DOA), or damaged then you must notify us by 8pm that same day by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We regret that we cannot accept the return of corals other than if we have been notified by email of damage or their DOA on the day of delivery.  Please note we will require photographic evidence of DOA or damaged corals in the bags and out of the bags or return the items in original order to accept a claim. Please take note that if there any doas on your delivery we will only issue refunds of the products and not the postage costs as out carriers will not refund us for the delivery of your goods.

• Once you notify us of a problem we will then work with you to arrange for the return of the goods and for a replacement or refund.

Accuracy

Every effort is made to ensure that all information on this site, including pricing and stock availability as shown during the ordering process, is up to date, current and correct.  However, Coventry critters cannot warrant, represent or guarantee the absolute accuracy of such information.  In the event that items are not available, or we discover a pricing or product description error, Coventry critters will notify you and give you the opportunity to either cancel or amend your order.

Consequential Losses

Coventry critters cannot accept any liability for any consequential or incidental loss (including, but not limited to, loss of revenue, loss of profits, wasted expenditure, loss of privacy and loss of data) whatsoever that arise out of, or are related to: the use of this web site and/or any information contained therein; delivery of DOA, damaged or faulty items; incomplete orders; delays in dispatch or delays by couriers.  Nor can we accept any consequential or incidental liabilities involving contracts you may have with third parties. we cannot be held responsible for an further damage to your system once any livestock has been added.

Any information that is passed onto us through a transaction is completely private and is seen only by a minimal amount of required people. We do not give, sell or hire any information to any third parties. (DPA 1998)
